Epiphany

Winter & Early spring | Beginning the Evening of January 5th

Epiphany begins the evening of January 5th and lasts until the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. During the season of Epiphany we recognize the dual nature of Jesus as both God and Man. Epiphany is often thought of as a season of light which is fitting as we follow Jesus, the Light of the World, as He walks the earth. During Epiphany the Church celebrates the Baptism of Jesus as well as the Transfiguration.

The Doxology is often sung at the end of a hymn or sometimes alone at the end of a service. It is meant to focus the singer on the trinitarian nature of God. In this version, we’ve arranged it to be sung three times through in an effort to allow the singer to further meditate on the words.
