Early winter | Begins Fourth Sunday Before Christmas Day
Advent is a time of anticipation. We look forward to the promised messiah. As a mother carries her child with anticipation of their birth, so the Church in Advent looks longiningly towards the delivery of her deliverer on Christmas morning. This season is filled with hope, anticipation, and longing, not just for the birth of Jesus as a baby, but also for when He will come again.
