Christmas

Mid Winter | Begins On The Evening of December 24th

The season of Christmas begins the evening December 24th and lasts twelve days, ending on the evening of January 5th. During the season of Christmas or Christmastide, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the messiah entering into the world as a baby. Also sometimes observed during the Christmas season are the festival of St. Stephen, St. John the Evangelist, festival of the Holy Innocents, and the Circumcision and Naming of Jesus.
