Icelandic Hymnwriter

I've spent most of my life as a Lutheran and not until recently did I hear anything about the Icelandic Lutheran Church let alone Hallgrimur Petursson.

Petursson was an Icelandic minister and poet from the mid 1600's best known for his writing of a series of fifty passion hymns. These hymns became part of Lenten tradition in Iceland and we're looking forward to sharing our interpretation of them with you as well!
