Comfort

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

LORD,
You are the Blessed and Holy
Father of my Lord,
Jesus Christ.
You are my Father of all mercies,
and my God of all comfort.
By your Spirit I hear your voice.
By your Son I listen to your call.

“I AM the One
who comforts you
with wisdom that is not
of the world,
but of my Presence here in it.
I love you with an everlasting love;
with grace,
your true comfort,
I call upon you to be still.
Know that I AM God.
Know that your heart and mind
are formed and reformed
in my Presence -
tuned to my will,
and equipped for my service.”

Oh Spirit of Truth,
help me in my weakness
to be still and to know
that the former things have
passed away.
You do a new thing in me
every moment of every day.
Keep my eyes fixed on Jesus,
that I may be one with you-
comforted and encouraged
to lead others
to the comfort and encouragement
of your love
in Christ Jesus
our Lord.
Amen.
