A Prayer Upon Beginning A Writing Session

Holy Spirit,
You have descended time and time again
both to confuse and elevate language.

As I search for the words to articulate
what I have seen, and learned, and felt,
elevate my language to be clear and persuasive,
eloquent and beautiful,
so that those who encounter these words
might praise You.
